I suppose one possibility is that week I was sick in March 2020 and my sense of taste was dulled really was COVID and this has all been the it’ll-wreck-your-nervous-system aftermath, only confronted with total resets I was able to build back better; but that undervalues how there were thematic continuities from the aftermath of that self-Heimlich thing in summer 2019
