Insanely happy with how my yards looked. Ever since first spring when I was like “oh shit, this needs work” I was repeatedly like just one more season but that’s done, it’s all grass now and like a bit of white clover, I can leave all of my yards a whole month and come back and pull like, two things.

The trees coming in great, even the stuff I did first year which was counterproductive has grown back over

One kinda tree/bush I tried to trim to tree form and that was a mistake that I’ll have to chop, one stand of thin bamboo that is taking up an empty corner I need to clear, three tall matchstick pines I’ll need a service to clear out, one tree I don’t know what its form even is when it’s not leaned over by that one that fell down.

Then redo the stonework and fence, start a plum, Japanese maple and sakura in the back for that hanami vibe, get doors from the bedrooms, a deck, a hot tub… all along I’ve known the backyard was gonna be the best room in the house.
