Thoughts on YouTube as outlet for absolute bottom-of-the-barrel algo-driven yellow journalism/moral entrepreneurship, leveraging ridiculous impossible numbers ("4 million views") in service of smaller cliques?
Not really; like I say I don’t follow video. I hear enough that “Breadtube” and “rantsona"s are a thing, and I remember back in the days of silly feminist vidya analysis but I can’t really identify one idea originating from YouTube and for whatever goes on inside those cliques it doesn’t seem to exert much influence beyond them.
