That said, this decade I’ve been hammering on how we’re now casting the white man as having the same outdoorsy-skills-connection-to-the-environment that we used to assign to the red man as recently as my childhood, so can we appreciate in 2020 that that original model is a buckskin-wearing native girl whose appeal is in her outdoorsiness?
