thanks to the CARES act I have surplus money now - I'm thinking of donating, but when I browse relevant individuals' gofundmes it seems there may be no overlap between the categories "people who say they need cash" and "people I think I should give my cash to". Donating to an institution instead might be worthwhile - I need confidence that my funds are going somewhere good, and I can't respect bad takes
