• obtain contact info for a list of large X number of wealthy people
• send half of them a binary investment tip (say, stock Y will increase/decrease in value) one way, half the other
• wait a week to see how it plays out
• discard the half you gave bad advice to, repeat 3x
  
• for the price of 2X communications you now have X/16 people who think you’re a moneymaking prophet
