The the person on the right’s stance is a bit too big for fencing but his weight is relatively evenly distributed and he can change directions and momentum anytime. Meanwhile the boxer on the left is leaning forward and very vulnerable to a riposte.
In MMA, by contrast, he’d be opening himself up to a devastating left kick to the nuts
