brain damage can get you interacting with dead people but that’s not so weird, I talk with the dead in my dreams quite often but when I wake up and the rest of my brain comes online it checks their file and is like oh yeah they’re dead so that didn’t actually happen, but I can see how a small impairment would be sufficient to introduce some doubt.

I’m actually pretty curious what it is in me that allows me to go crazy and get really invested in interpreting Mormon prophecy or in strangers that I meet in bars but some part of me instead of really getting lost in [X] is like “oh, you’re crazy and [X]ing, huh? So it really is like that”
