Interesting how “woke” now seems to be applied to certain men in a similar way that “metrosexual” was applied to the same type of man in the early 2000s

“sensitive new age guy” (SNAG) in the early 1990s, “new man” in the early 1980s, the category gets renamed but never really changes.

I think it would be genuinely useful if there were a guide to ideas like this, which keep getting reinvented every generation. Because if you don’t know the old terminology, you would never even think to look for it. Even if you did want to check, you’d hardly even know where to look. And it would be fascinating to have it all in one place, so you could see how many ideas that seem new aren’t.
