Like the “make yourself sleep even if you’re full of energy and ideas, else you’ll be full of energy about the kind of ideas you have after 90 hours awake” AND the “if you’re absolutely convinced of something that sounds like something a crazy person would think when you say it out loud, and everyone you know who you normally trust thinks it’s crazy, then no matter how compelling it feels, assume you’re being crazy” rules, I have those for a reason

Oof, it’s rough, been held long enough starting to kinda pull it together, but right now it’s in the stage just lucid enough not to be obviously crazy for a minute at a time, but just using that to more insistently cast it as political.

Like yes, your living situation with your ex is a stressor, and yes, it makes sense for left-leaning Portlanders to care about racial reconciliation and police surveillance rn, and yes, you are being held against your will and the people you see as friends and allies aren’t really trying to stop it, but you were disheveled on the street talking nonsense a mile a minute and menacing strangers, that is kinda what the men in white coats are for.

Again, counting my blessings that I may be crazy but at least get to realize it and have a sense of when & how I’m crazy to deal with it.
