funny thing where people collect swords and it spawns this “cutting community” where people have fun chopping stuff in half, typically plastic bottles full of water as they’re cheap and it’s a fun challenge to chop through the bottle cleanly in one slice without knocking it over, but then that leads to swords that are weighted towards the tip like sharpened baseball bats for big swings even though in an actual sword fight you might want one weighted towards the hilt for more dexterous control, but who the heck is getting into sword fights in this day and age? so the very notion of “sword” is contextual and depends on its intended use, same as it ever was.
