I think part of why that slid off me was I’d already addressed gender stuff and put it in a different box years before, so I could just roll my eyes. So– I guess maybe I see the -fication angle of Internet autosissification (in person in the 90s you saw it as part of a Fdom BSDM thing where dominatrices forced it on men, but then dominatrices were always about forcing men into things they wanted in the first place) as laughable trope to disclaim agency, but the fact that unresolved gender issues could be an angle by which others can take control of your life is not unfounded?
