I just read this webnovel about, uh. a world in which anime people and humans coexist? it\u2019s unfortunately weirdly horny in a way that is somehow actually very anime in its compulsiveness, like panty shots but for plot/worldbuilding. but there are extensive digressions on real historical religious/revolutionary movements, including Mormons, ghost dancers, and the Boxer Rebellion, which seamlessly blend with accounts of catgirl succession crises and the origin of anime people, and that\u2019s pretty great.
