I’ve been traveling around the rural, inland parts of the northwest, and man, I thought that Portland was fond of knowledge and drinking and fucking and the outdoors.

I think maybe I just like rednecks. I didn’t see that coming, honestly. It’s like when the Wild West was tamed, all the wild ended up moving here.

They’re more into Jesus than the city, but it’s in the sense of like “man, isn’t it awesome how it’s okay that we’re all drunken, whoring bastards ‘cause Christ died for our sins?” And I can appreciate that.
