Someone who reads this pointed out to me recently that the way the youngs use Tumblr, that they do something I thought died with chat rooms, they put a/s/l - age/sex/location, and in that format, as the very first informational content in their theme.

This makes me happy not least because I like to think Tumblr, along with 4chan, are the True Remaining Internet; they’re maybe the female and male halves of said? Because by resembling my experience of growing up on the internet, they’re experiencing the true and proper experience - they’re where people don’t censor out their curses, or bodies, or selves (like they do in modern craigslist ads looking for a man to eat and fck her married pu$$y, like what the fucking fuck?)

Of course it could just be the same early-adopter self-and-socioeconomic-selection, which I’d like not to think bcuz I’m still illusioned enough to want the Message of the Internet to be “yay widespread human potential and democracy” and not “yay comfortably rich white dominions”?
