So, uh, I remember in the 90s lots of fearmongering about how China’s one-child policy would create a generation of spoiled “little princelings”, would lead (through male preference and sex-selective abortion) to an unbalanced gender ratio and thus armies of angry incels, etc.

It’s been long enough to show up, did any of that actually pan out, or was it like the contemporary worries that the US would be full of latchkey-unsupervised juvenile delinquents and “superpredators” by now?
