{"version": "1.0", "type": "rich", "title": "Grad students update:\nLast I talked to them in early December they said they were calling it early, leaving their stuff in...", "author_name": "kontextmaschine", "author_url": "https://kontextmaschine.com", "provider_name": "kontextmaschine", "provider_url": "https://kontextmaschine.com", "url": "https://kontextmaschine.com/post/190452346438/", "html": "<p>Grad students update:</p><p>Last I talked to them in early December they said they were calling it early, leaving their stuff in southern Oregon, and going to like Wisconsin or something for family holidays</p><p>Their tent remained in place but I didn&rsquo;t hear any sign of them after the 15th at most, come the new year I realized they just abandoned their stuff in place</p><p>I saw cop lights at one point around the 7th or so and padded out to explain, when I noticed what they must have been summoned for, a new second tent</p><p>Later that night I encountered the two bros belonging to the tent and warned them. The next day was very windy and they apparently left it unstaked or -ballasted and it blew away</p><p>A few days later the city campsite cleanup guys came, looked at it, collapsed the tent with a rock, and left it and all the stuff (mostly like dirty plastic bottles and clothes, I took a knit blanket for the bed of my truck)</p><p>As of yesterday it&rsquo;s all disappeared and there&rsquo;s just a big bare dirt spot I should probably reseed</p>"}
