You give your personal info, send your portfolio, try to meet the requirements, etc. All fun and games until you get to the bottom of the list, which says, and I quote:</p>\n<p><i>\u201cWhen applying, please submit the following task.</i></p>\n<ul><li><i>Task theme: please write in English an original text about a scene where the descendant of a villain from one of Square Enix\u2019s titles is confronting a main character from the same title.</i></li>\n<li><i>The timeline of the setting and the writing style do not matter.</i></li>\n<li><i>Minimum 800 words, maximum 1000 words.</i></li>\n<li><i>Please submit it in a file separated from your resume and job history.</i></li>\n<li><i>We cannot accept questions regarding this task, so please take note of that.\u201d</i></li>\n</ul><p>There you have it. Square Enix literally asks you to make up an OC and write about them having a face-off with one of the good guys to see if you\u2019re fit to be a translator, and honestly???? Fucking power move right there.</p>\n</blockquote>"}
