It strikes me as the basic fact of UK politics rn that in the 1990s Blairite New Labour captured a lot of support that “naturally belonged” to the Lib Dems, forming a coalition within the party

But now that coalition’s wound down the elements aren’t separating back out and forming coalitions post-election but still trying to hold charge of a not-Tory bloc
