The grad students in the yard are worried because actual bad-dude homeless people showed up down the street, with their tarped-over trucks and junk piles in the street full of stolen bicycles and incomprehensibly but saliciously inviting me to go “boating (?!)” in the nearby park.

Apparently a result of clearing the park of unsavories last week, now there’s a cop sitting in the parking lot staring down the street, unsettling the grad students out of using their water key (?) to fully clean out their shit bucket. They say they only planned to stay just past Christmas but honestly they got sick and they’re thinking of packing it in already.
