You basically need to keep 3 of them, because at any given time you have misplaced one and the second one either needs charging or you are about to somehow break

Good ones are long and sturdy but pocketable enough they’d probably make for good yawara/kubotan, especially if you’ve got one of those cartridges with a pipe-form mouthpiece to focus the force of a strike.
