It’s weird the things you don’t notice until you acquire a relevant skill. Like it wasn’t until I started taking flying lessons that I noticed small planes in the air, then I noticed all of them.

I’ve said since I learned to trim trees I’ve noticed in the ones I walk by. Just now I was walking down the sidewalk and got the overwhelming urge to pause and look up.

It took me maybe two seconds to pick up but there was a branch, a thick one, that had been sawn free from the trunk but was still hanging there tied up in the adjacent branches.

And it was a narrow gap where it was sawn and not well lit at all and I didn’t notice it consciously but apparently I have Trap Sense for trees now
