Anonymous asked: Dude come on, you had A Revelation while manic that urned our to not be all that revelatory. That’s fine, god knows it’s happened to me, but you can’t double down and be like “actually this WAS clever/radical enough to merit 2 months of buildup, you guys just don’t get it.” If I discovered it at age 12 bored reading paperbacks at my grandma’s house it’s not an infohazard

Okay this is a good critique

And it’s true that like, the vision of The Infohazard Post came in a manic period and part of why I was putting off delivering it was I wasn’t in the right state, and in the end you can tell from the staccato declarations and use of bullet-point format to tell I had to drink my inhibition down and force it.

Which means I didn’t intend 2 months of buildup, I said something in a high period that sparked a response that I kept stringing along in hopes of delivering and then cut bait cause it was time

But there’s nothing about it incorrect. And it’s not just “I am aware of this”, if you wanna talk paperbacks look back and see how often I reference Flowers in the Attic. It’s the specific needs of this specific culture war, the specific way it’s shaped resistant to challenge in a victim-first feeling-first idiom, and the way it offers to return us to not just a 90s but a 70s equilibrium.

Like, John Norman’s been writing Gor books this whole time but that fact didn’t matter, Gor just mattered because that specific moment mattered, and I’m saying you can feel another one coming on
