they were still riffing off of real-life weapons i guess? like I remember the hot thing was modeled off an Uzi and it was even kinda automatic, with a 9v battery it’d go dvt-dvt-dvt-dvt

They maybe made a small cap of the nozzle be hunter orange after the first year? But part of the appeal was it toootaly looked like an Uzi otherwise

not like the older-style water pistols that coexisted with the SuperSoaker 100 and 150, that were shaped like replica 1911s now you’d rack the slide and shoot a long hard squirt except they were in this weird light blue/dark blue leopard Street Sharks camo now
