Can’t help but notice that “put a lot of people together in severly un-resourced quarters and let them attrit away/or else approve enough funding to hold them in secure facilities long-term” was basically the same “hellish inner-city ghettos (80s)/prison construction programs (90s)” dynamic by which America dealt with a superfluous brown-skinned population previously within my lifetime
