Just realized I have no idea how to spell my sense of “forceful Japanese ‘no’“ that I long thought of as “iyeye”, obviously there’s no “ye” in hiragana or katakana but seeing it spelled いいえ is weird enough, no way it should be いいえいいえ, I would have noticed it in untranslated manga like that, right?
