Alright, I know I’ve got some gunblr-type followers, so this is for you:

I’m looking to get my first shotgun. Primary use personal defense, secondary skeet. I want a reliable, easily serviceable model with solid aftermarket/familiarity so I’m leaning milspec.

Mossberg 500 (which model? field/defense barrels?) or M4 (w/collapsible stock? which?) or what else? Do those bullpups even work for skeet?

presumably the secondary use would get more exercise than the primary?

I expect they’d be evenly split on range time, if I ever got to the point of skeet competitions or live hunting I’d want a more purpose-built gun; in the interim I’ll preference the unlikely but critical primary
