I mean okay that’s every complaint about “food waste” though. Every “supermarkets throw out X amount of food a week” is pointing to the societal dysfunction of the USA’s overstocked grocery stores, of a system where the store will never be flat out of Y perishable goods when a customer arrives so they don’t end up being rationed (incl. by queuing, or variable pricing incl. grey/black markets)
