Like, DMX, Lil\u2019 Bow Wow, Chingy? If I ever heard one of their songs it was <i>over</i>heard and I didn\u2019t know it was them, but if you mentioned their name I would be like \u201cyes, that is a popular rapper\u201d.</p><p>And even more recently, like, I couldn\u2019t pick Migos or Cardi B\u2019s faces or voices out of a lineup, but yes, I know they exist.</p><p>But this guy, who I\u2019m told was something special <i>on top</i> of being a pop artist, total blank. Like not only do I not own his music, or listen to it, or recognize it; I\u2019ve never heard him mentioned in a \u201cthese new trends\u201d thinkpiece, or referenced to establish cred in the beginning of an article about streaming business models, or seen his name trending on twitter when he releases a new video, or on a music festival flyer as the third name on Day 2, or even seen a photo going around like \u201cdamn, Nipsey looking TIGHT at this awards ceremony\u201d, or <i>anything</i><br/></p>"}
