Watched the episode of Star Trek where Spock and Kirk went to the ‘20s gangster planet last night and it occurs to me that the time period they were visiting was… only forty, forty-five years prior to the episode being aired? And that fucking blows my mind. Like, if TOS was airing today the equivalent would be like. The disco planet. It’s nuts.
