originally I named her as “Mari”, which is a much more euphonious Japanese name and how you would translate the French name

(“Marie” would be pronounced as “mah-ree-EY”)

So when someone told me I was wrong I looked it up and it’s 麻理恵 , “Marie”, and then I looked into those kanji and they literally translate as “cannabis reasoning wisdom”
