Going off this, Tumblr and Twitter have very similar mechanics--people make posts which can be reposted to their follower's followers. Yet while there are hundreds of different Twitters--Catholic Twitter, Econ Twitter, NeverTrump Twitter--Tumblr has a strong left monoculture. Why?
