The other day I was getting ready for work and listening to English-language versions of anime OPs. I was still humming Cruel Angel’s Thesis when I went to get in my car. I had my radio tuned to a classic rock station and J. Geils Band’s ‘Centerfold’ was playing when I started it up. So of course later at work I found myself singing an unholy mashup of the two songs and dancing like this
Homeroom angel, with cruel and merciless intent
Go forth young girl and you’ll become a centerfold
(the melody from Cruel Angel’s Thesis but sung with the na na nas from Centerfold)
My blood runs cold, my memory has just been sold
Cruel angel is the centerfold (angel is the centerfold)
(the melody of the na na na part from Centerfold but with the instruments from Cruel Angel’s Thesis)
