Also, since there seems to be a trend of rebooting 80′s stuff for the modern age in a way that can be uncharitably described as “progressives (quote marks optional) cannibalizing nostalgia to make a profit off of paying lip service to subaltern audiences,” I wonder if the wave will reverse and we get beloved 90′s properties rebooted to be more reactionary.

Like, we get Captain Planet and the Planeteers, except now they’re ecofascists-cum-anprims and Looten Plunder is changed to be a Chinese industrial tycoon, Dr. Blight is made sexier, and nobody really bats an eye when called out on the unfortunate implications of Verminous Skumm.

(I was gonna mention Swat Kats, but that one did get a reboot Kickstartered, so)
