As part of my campaign since 1989 age 6 to not so much punish her for, but kind of punish her for and moreover save her from yuppie helicopter parenting, after we passed the correct ‘70s golden spot of leaving your kids to latchkey raise themselves and find their correct fate while you had a meaningful life of affairs and addictions and hobbies to yourself
Oh man, it just occurred to me: that’s why recent media about a group of kids having a Perilous Adventure™ (Stranger Things, Super 8) are still taking place in the 70′s or 80′s. Have you been to Astoria? It’s never been believable that anyone could find pirate treasure there.
