Relatedly, the Internet of old would\u2019ve either ignored or been highly amused by disturbing YouTube videos aimed at children, and they would\u2019ve laughed at the mainstream media for making a big deal out of it similarly to \u201cWhat is your teen texting?\u201d. Gone is the presumption of ironic detachment, and I miss it.
