ironic if the bug boosted demand for cpus by making all the existing ones run 30% slower

Recent (post-Haswell) CPU’s are going to take a 5% hit. 

So I, a Sandy Bridge user, am wincing at the bill to replace the CPU/Mobo/RAM/CPU Cooler/possibly case of my desktop, but there’s not many of us left.
