i think a large part of the successful blog experience is just portraying the sort of confidence that comes with knowing you’re right even when you have no fucking clue and are often obscenely wrong, so that your audience gets the idea that, “hey, i’ve found this blog that knows it’s right, and i largely agree but it also gives me some insights, so not only am i right, but i’m also becoming more right by reading it, and that makes me super smug”

i guess that’s how [hated famous blogger] gets their audience!
