Line for the community meeting re: a proposal to put a “low barriers” homeless drop-in shelter right in the heart of the designated-next-for-gentrification neighborhood of Foster-Powell

I’ve had the opportunity to travel around Portland before. It feels odd that a neighborhood an hour bus ride from downtown on an not-all-that-bad day is next for gentrification.
Lents is kinda ridiculous, but Foster/Holgate where were talking is like 25 minutes from downtown but Portland’s center of gravity is further east now anyway
beside what else else would be next? Montavilla? Outer Sandy? At least it’s not Division where the PDC stamped its Alberta/Williams 2.0 canyon all at once
(and it’s not drop-in, I did get that wrong)
