So trash pickup is this morning so late last night I was out raking to fill my green bin. Stepped on some uneven ground and my weak ankle gave way and rolled.
I’m pretty good at rolling to land on my meaty parts, since my paratrooper father saw me climbing trees as a kid and taught me how to fall, but when my load-bearing leg gave way I didn’t have any leverage and caught the ground with my fingers first, hyperextending them backwards
The result of all of which is today I can’t do anything which requires two legs worth of weight-bearing or two hands worth of grip strength
Which isn’t as bad as that time I twisted both ankles at once and couldn’t independently bear weight on either, but it introduces more puzzle elements to my day than ideal
