I think part of it is the fighting is very close to the style I was trained in but subtly different and well executed

like there’s one point where someone two-hand straight-arm bully shoves ‘lil Liquid Snake and I immediately thought if it was my sensei directing this (he does!)

that shove would have started with the right (or at least dominant, rear) arm across your/the attacker’s body in the guard and the other hand lower and even crossed centerline with it

cause then you could block with the main or uncurl a tear/throw or you could do a good kidney heelstrike with the offhand without sacrificing much potential on the shove
