Oh man, I recycled the latest American Rifleman before I remembered to take a picture of the newest amazing ad: a full-pager announcing an ammo company’s new flagship rifle cartridge, it was shot from floor level to look imposing, it looked like a chess bishop (which is to say, phallic) and the copy in big bold letters was THE PATRIARCH

if you’re wondering what the NRA’s pushing these days, the cutting edge is

A) silencers (which is reasonable on a “not generating loud-ass noises right next to your ear” basis, they’re mandatory for hunters in parts of Europe)

B) short/carbine AR- or SMG-type black guns, shorter than allowable as rifles under current law so they go as pistols, the ATF was like “okay but you can’t put & use shoulder stocks on them” but that’s eroding bit by bit
