{"version": "1.0", "type": "rich", "title": "Why/how did you get into gardening?", "author_name": "kontextmaschine", "author_url": "https://kontextmaschine.com", "provider_name": "kontextmaschine", "provider_url": "https://kontextmaschine.com", "url": "https://kontextmaschine.com/post/164043147953/", "html": "<div class=\"question\"><strong>utilitymonstermash</strong> asked: Why/how did you get into gardening? </div>\n<p>I closed on a house the winter before last; it had good bones, good location but cheaper for need of updating - heard the couple (then broken up to single woman) who lived there had kinda neglected it, and a lot of the original stuff was towards the end of service life and been handyman-patched along the way</p><p>\nThen spring came and the yard filled with weeds and vines and blackberry brambles and I realized they just buzzed and trimmed stuff down to sell and there were roots and seeds in the ground, the old porcelain wasn&rsquo;t getting any worse particularly but this would if left alone so I&rsquo;ve been focusing on that.</p><p>\nFinally got the whole yard weed-free at once, so now I can devote time to shaping trees and bushes and clearing out bamboo and whatnot </p>"}
