I closed on a house the winter before last; it had good bones, good location but cheaper for need of updating - heard the couple (then broken up to single woman) who lived there had kinda neglected it, and a lot of the original stuff was towards the end of service life and been handyman-patched along the way

Then spring came and the yard filled with weeds and vines and blackberry brambles and I realized they just buzzed and trimmed stuff down to sell and there were roots and seeds in the ground, the old porcelain wasn’t getting any worse particularly but this would if left alone so I’ve been focusing on that.

Finally got the whole yard weed-free at once, so now I can devote time to shaping trees and bushes and clearing out bamboo and whatnot
