It is the day of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. Peter is standing at\nthe edge of the crowd on the hill of Calvary. Looking over the crowd, he\nsees the Lord, crucified at the top of the hill. The Lord looks at him\nand, just barely, Peter can hear the Lord calling his name. \u201cPeter,\nPeter, come here!\u201d

\n\n

Peter pushes through the throng and begins walking up the hill. Soon he\ncomes near James and John, who say, \u201cPeter, come pray with us!\u201d Peter\nresponds, \u201cI cannot, my Lord calls to me.\u201d

\n\n

As he walks further up the hill of Calvary, he meets Mary the mother of\nthe Lord and Mary Magdalene, who say, \u201cPeter, come pray with us!\u201d Peter\nsays, \u201cI cannot, my Lord calls to me.\u201d

\n\n

Soon he sees some centurions. Afraid they might beat him if the mood\ntakes them, he keeps his head down as he walks past, whispering to\nhimself, \u201cMy Lord calls to me.\u201d

\n\n

At last he comes to the cross. He looks up and says, \u201cI am here, my\nLord. What is it you wish to say to me?\u201d

\n\n

And the Lord says, \u201cPeter, I can see your house from here.\u201d

\n\n

Anyway, this joke is the source of the title of\nCamel\u2019s 1979 album I\nCan See Your House From\nHere,\nwhose cover art is as follows:
