They put chains on the buses and people stay home</p><p>It\u2019s not clear whether this is fluke (coast and inland mountains, the Columbia Gorge, and the Pacific Ocean all <a href=\"https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pacific_Northwest_windstorm\" target=\"_blank\">do weird things to airflow</a>, when these come together things <a href=\"https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Columbus_Day_Storm_of_1962\" target=\"_blank\">get crazy</a>) or the new normal, since I\u2019ve been here the summers have been droughty enough for the grass to turn yellow and apparently that\u2019s new too</p><p>My concern is how this affects the viability of a motorcycle as year-round exclusive transport</p><p>Now if you\u2019ll excuse me I\u2019m off to walk a fucking mile through the snow to feed a friend\u2019s cats<br/></p>"}
