• Every local dude between the ages of 12 and 40 rides a dirt bike, or at least an ATV.
• Every town has a poker room.
• Every town has a roller derby team.
• Every town has a drive-through coffee stand. And they’re all clad to be eye-catching. Not googie, but same concept. A lot of them look like Jersey diners, which is weird because none of the local diners do.
• Whiter and older than anywhere else I’ve seen, but the balance of types remains the same, such that there are a lot more white-haired slackers and shitkickers.
• They’re into cheesesteaks and they can make them properly, unlike anyone else more than 50 miles out of Philly.
