Alright went to the public pool and realized that movement in water was another one of those things I had totally lost muscle memory for: not just swimming was reduced to gross muscle movement + remembered instructions and secondhand memories but walking in water too, the entire experience of water felt different than I remember – like high-frequency Jello? – for half an hour until I stopped consciously parsing the smallest eddies and just felt them enough to subconsciously process.

Yeah I’ve read a lot of Anne McCaffrey. I was a hyperlexic 11-year-old with a library card, and if a lot of its really YA, I was 11! And if a lot of was really women’s YA, I had a really femme tweenhood, ok? (I also read a lot of the Babysitters’ Club books.)
Eventually I was reading one of the Pern books and a plot development so unsurprised me I was like “wait have I read this one before?” but realized I’d just read enough to fully internalize her authorial voice and stopped hitting up that shelf at the library.

Do you ever post progress pictures of yourself from your loses weight and gets built journeys?
I think I’ll at least do one when I hit the middle of “True Normie” state but I kind of like it being just my impressions, if I posted about my experience of living in my body and posted a picture this is the internet, people would argue with my personal experience of my body on the basis of the picture and it would be irritating.
So my major tree-trimming lesson for this year is that spring growth (from overwinter root reserves) causes long, adventurous solo shoots but summer growth (from locally collected sunlight) causes bushier fractal growth, but available water is a limiting factor in both cases.
So in areas with rainy springs, after you thin out a canopy it’s important to keep the tree watered through summer so the holes opened up are filled in by adjacent branches poofing out rather than just new spring-growth branches from lower down.

I had a sense of how the city would develop and of the general area I thought would get good but was not yet (or in general obvious that it would to other homeowners/buyers)
Went through a realtor that assessed my expressed interest and selected open houses to go to from that, though Karafuto was actually something I found on Zillow three blocks away from one of our tours and had us look at.
Leaf colors aren’t changing, but having sat in this windowside chair year round for a while I can tell you there’s definitely more dry rattle in their rustling now
Ah, I see, in an age of above-ground hot tub units an in-ground custom one is called a spa, okay. In my pre-above-ground youth “hot tub”, “Jacuzzi”, and “whirlpool” were interchangeable for in-ground ones and a spa was a commercial facility for all-around luxury pampering.
