Siikr may or may not be gone for good. I am willing to rebuild it if enough people still want it, but it’s going to have to be done from scratch and everyone will have to reindex their blogs.
Reply to this post so I can gauge interest and place it accordingly on my priority list.
God damn it. Fine! I’ll code it again.
If anyone still happens to have the clientside javascript still cached in their browser, please message me, as that’ll save me a lot of time.
The html and css probably wouldn’t hurt either.
The domain should’ve been giftedapprentice.com
Don’t look at the Easter eggs. It’s cheating to find them in the code.
There’s a bunch of cool new features you absolutely won’t notice (query parsing is now done by a custom abstract syntax tree, and exact word search has returned. The ranking algorithm is mostly just a die roll for now.).
And more importantly, a bunch of old features you’ve come to rely on are now mostly just sad emojis. Additionally, it will likely go down a lot over the next few days.
If you promise to guinea pig I promise to make the faces less sad.
Planting lavender outside my sittin’ window means each gust of air is pleasantly and differently scented, “lavender” scents capture one particular balance of aromatics but from live plants in turbulent atmosphere it’s always shifting.
V good call on that, after I’d been looking forward to it for a while.
Right now on Twitter— oops, sorry. Right now on X— there are Greek-statue-avatar “modern women are degenerates; retvrn” accounts which are partnering with OnlyFans to signal-boost OF models and promote their streams. The models pay the accounts to RT them with “dunks” like “look how fatherless and decadent this is”, and the models see increased signups as a result.
And like… I’m in awe. This is it, this is the entire 21st century neatly encapsulated.
Alright, my upper back, arms, and lower back are still too tight to get new topsoil but I’m gonna do some weekday stuff and even redistribute topsoil from where I piled it too high so I wouldn’t say “rest” day today.
I wanted to post this separately bc Carroña deserves its own spotlight but. Some other highlights on why you should visit Corning Glass:
Meat chandelier
Gay square (That’s actually what it’s for. It’s meant to be taken outside in the sun so that you can reflect a rainbow on any surface for LGBT awareness)
This guy
Dinner
Demonstrations
Hey OP do they still have the worst museum layout in the universe like they did when I went… 20 years… ago?
(…huh.)
Like rooms where it’s not at all obvious where to go next, sections it was easy to miss entirely, parts where there were two different paths from A to B with different content, exhibits that would reference stuff not explained until a later exhibit, all that geometric art from one Soviet Bloc country and only at the very end they explain representative art was banned?
Also they had one of those motion sculptures where the balls go in a loop through all sorts of machinery, which wasn’t actually glass-themed but I think you get one of when you join the Association of Industry and Technology Museums
Well goddamn, now you've got me imagining a new fetish called "spay for pay" that revolves around establishing that a woman sincerely wants biokids, and then offering her a troubling amount of money to be sterilized
Precommit that if as the strike drags on, if any union actors do non-union Christian direct-to-DVD stuff for money under fake names we call the scandal “pray for pay”

Yeah, intense leg and lower back soreness this rest day (compared to very mild fatigue in the upper body) but not the whole-body wiped effect of before.
Alright, 4.5 more yards of topsoil, which is 3 bedloads. The twisting pitching motion exhausts my hip flexors, so after 2 I’m swaying my hips like I’m trying to pick up a whole ship of sailors and after 3 I’m walking like I did.
The testosterone-boosted growth means the morning after being totally exhausted they’re stronger than they’ve ever been, no sway at all when I stand still now.
Oh shit, and I can lift my legs far enough sitting down to put boxers on now. I’d been having to grapple my legs up by the ankle, which was retroactively the most important thing I learned at the dojo. (From our sensei being “if you want to do this BJJ lock but you’re getting old…”) Leg flexibility used to be big for me, some of that was probably it was loose from never developing muscles for arched-foot movement, but anyway it’s nice to get back.

The ‘90s retro project waiting to be made is an anime off the Sunset Riders arcade game. You’ll be like “holy shit, was that a Wild West C.O.W.-Boys of Moo Mesa reference?”
