I just saw someone say the words “jokingly gaslight” this might be a good time to reintroduce the internet to the terms “lying” or perhaps “pranking” or even just “joking” on it’s own
Okay, say it with me guys…
If you are giving someone wrong information in the hopes that they’ll believe that it’s true, then that’s lying.
If you are giving someone wrong information under the assumption that they’ll ultimately realise that it’s false, and that they will find this funny, then that’s joking.
If you are giving someone wrong information in the hopes that they’ll believe that it’s true and that their response will be funny, then that’s a prank.
If you are giving someone wrong information in the hopes that they will notice the differences between your presentation of reality and their perception of it, and come to doubt their ability to judge what is and is not real, then that’s gaslighting.

who was going to tell me that christian bale is the actor that played the fictional character patrick bateman. and who was going to tell me that patrick bateman is not an actor that looks like christian bale. who was going to tell me this.

Really iffy watershoot-regrown lower branch on the side of the neighbor who whatever his virtues isn’t on top of how trees grow looks like it’s finally sun-starved and isn’t putting out leaves this year, so I won’t feel bad about just going over and chopping it off.
Overnight feel like my stomach became both smaller and tighter, which I suppose might be the skin contracting (and indeed I see some of the blemishing I’ve associated with that before, but not in one concentrated area)
Okay, clear day and looking stellar. No deadlines hanging over me – well, some planting that if I don’t do this season I’ll get next, which just means it’ll forever be a mere one year less grown at any given time (also means it’ll reach one year less in your lifetime — ed) – I feel great and everything is going well.
